Henry and Long Trophy

Club Championships have been conducted every year since 1956 when the Henry and Long Trophy was presented.

Henry and Long Pty Ltd was a company the bank used to paint all the branches and offices through out New South Wales. On a particular day in 1956, Les Henry recalls someone asking him if he would like to sponsor a trophy for the up coming CBA club championships. Being a golfer himself he did not hesitate to accept the request. During a recent phone conversation in March 2016, Les can still remember presenting the trophy 60 years ago in the picture below.

These days, the championships are conducted over 36 holes at the Carnarvon and Penrith Golf courses in October & November. The Henry and Long Trophy has been awarded to the Scratch Club Champion since 1956.
